ECG

An electrocardiogram is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart.  ECG is used to measure the rate and regularity of heartbeats as well as the size and position of the chambers, the presence of any damage to the heart, and the effects of drugs or devices used to regulate the heart (such as a pacemaker).

Vaccinations

Influenza vaccines are given every year in the fall or winter.  September, October and November are the ideal months to give the flu vaccine.

Pneumococcal vaccines are routinely given to persons age 65 and older as a one-time dose. One-time revaccination is recommended 5 years later for persons at highest risk of fatal pneumococcal infection or rapid antibody loss and for persons age 65 years and older if the first dose was given prior to age 65 and 5 years or more have elapsed since the prior dose.
